Frequently Asked Questions
Most clients begin with weekly sessions, which provides consistency and momentum in the therapeutic process. As therapy progresses, some clients choose to meet every other week or on an as-needed basis. Together, we’ll determine a schedule that best supports your goals.
I currently offer telehealth sessions for clients located anywhere in California. Virtual therapy allows you to access support from the comfort of your home while maintaining confidentiality.
I also offer in-person sessions in Los Angeles.
You are free to choose to attend online or in-person on a session-to-session basis. However, switching from an online to an in-person session will require advance confirmation.
I work with adults, teens, and couples navigating anxiety, life transitions, relationship challenges, identity questions, self-esteem concerns, grief, and other challenges. Many of my clients are thoughtful individuals who feel stuck, overwhelmed, or disconnected from themselves and are seeking deeper understanding and meaningful change.
You don't need to be in crisis to benefit from therapy. Many people seek therapy because they feel stuck, want healthier relationships, are navigating a transition, or simply want a deeper understanding of themselves. If you're wondering whether therapy could help, a consultation call is a great place to start
You are also welcome to begin with a trial session or sessions. Full sessions, however, are billed at the full rate.
There is no pressure or requirement to continue.Therapy is a space where you can slow down, reflect, and make sense of what you're experiencing. Our work together may include exploring current challenges, understanding patterns that keep showing up in your life, processing emotions, and identifying meaningful steps toward change. Some sessions may feel insightful and energizing; others may feel more reflective or challenging. My goal is to provide an environment where you can safely express yourself.
I am currently private pay and do not accept insurance directly. However, if you have out-of-network benefits, I can provide a monthly superbill that you may submit to your insurance company for possible reimbursement. I recommend contacting your insurance provider to learn more about your out-of-network mental health coverage, particularly when working with an associate therapist.
Session rates are:
$175 per 50 minute session for individuals
$200 per 60 minute session for couples/intimate partners
$250 per 75 minute session for couples/intimate partners
There is no one-size-fits-all answer. Some clients come to therapy with a specific goal and work with me for a few months, while others choose longer-term therapy to deepen self-understanding and support ongoing growth. We will regularly check in about your goals and make sure our work continues to feel helpful and aligned with what you need.
The therapeutic relationship is one of the most important factors in successful therapy. We can check in at any time to discuss whether we are a good fit. But customarily, we will check in after 4-5 sessions to see how things feel, in terms of fit. My priority is helping you find the support you need, even if that means connecting you with another therapist who may be a better match for your goals or preferences.
I ask for at least 24 hours' notice if you need to cancel or reschedule an appointment. Sessions canceled with less than 24 hours' notice, as well as missed appointments, are charged the full session fee (except in cases of emergencies).
If you're running late, please let me know when you can. If you arrive late, we will use the remaining time of your scheduled session, but sessions generally end at the originally scheduled time. The full session fee still applies.
If you do not notify me -- or arrive within 15 minutes of the scheduled session start time -- I will assume that the session is not happening.Getting started is simple. You can reach out through my contact form, email, or phone number to schedule a free 20-minute consultation. During that conversation, we'll discuss what brings you to therapy, answer any questions you may have, and determine whether working together feels like a good fit.
I believe our feelings and symptoms are messengers that are there to teach us. Rather than focusing solely on coping skills or quick fixes, I help clients understand the deeper patterns, emotions, and experiences shaping their lives. My approach is warm, collaborative, and insight-oriented, integrating psychodynamic, relational, and parts-work perspectives to support lasting change.
